Quilling is an art of making shapes and figures by twirling thin strips of paper with the help of a quilling needle. Faeza Ammar is another such artist who specializes in making 3D Quilling models for as a hobby.

Saurabh Ghiya, a professional photographer, decided to help her in the promotion of her upcoming small business by doing photography for her product. He teamed up with his friend Mariya Zoheb, a friend and an artist, and came up with an idea of replicating various cartoon animation characters through 3D quilling models. These quilling models are small in size; hence it was possible to make small sized 3D sets in order to do the photography.

Quil Lane, however, is not a cartoon; it is a 3D replica of a street side, made with paper and all the cartoon characters placed by the street. The photography was done with professional lighting techniques and high quality of post-production was done to make the final image look visually attractive and compositionally balanced.
